The client contacted us to remodel their tween daughter’s bedroom. The room was dark, a bit gloomy, cramped and had too little storage. It had got to the point that she did not even like sleeping in the room. Since we enjoy a collaborative process the girl was included in the design process, I ask her choose her favorite colors and we talked about some things she liked, reading, music and animals especially monkeys but of course the parents had approvals.
We took those ideas and transformed the space to include places for hiding out and studying. We incorporated fun art work, a new desk and workspace, toy storage, new window treatments and new closet doors. The chest of drawers was painted and new fun knobs were added. The client was thrilled that her daughter loved her new light bright room and never wanted to leave it now. A win win for everyone!
