The client came us after they had inherited a custom designed early modernist home. The home was in a small gated community with 180 degree view of the Pacific ocean and sat under the Getty Museum. It had through a few a remodels but that were not in keeping with the original modern design and what was left over was outdated and in disrepair. The client want to bring back the original feel and bring it up to modern day living standards.
All areas of the home were designed including a small addition to create a small dance studio and workout room. Original millwork which could be salvaged such as in the primary bedroom was repainted and the original was hardware removed and replated. A new kitchen was configured to look out at the view and give better function for cooking and entertaining. A custom entry was added and new color palette, paint, windows, doors, wiring, plumbing, HVAC, lighting and plumbing fixtures and custom millwork was added throughout.
