Light and Cozy
Sub Title
In the California Casual Project, we transformed the entrance, living room, and kitchen, blending modern and rustic elements to create a space that feels timeless yet contemporary. The challenge was to merge sleek modern finishes with natural, rustic textures in a way that felt inviting.
One of the standout features is the fireplace, where hand-cut limestone and custom oak shelving brought a perfect balance of modern sophistication and rustic warmth. This blend of materials added depth and character to the room while maintaining an open, airy feel. We also incorporated contrasting woods in the media cabinet, adding visual interest and texture that carried through the rest of the design.
Highlights
In the kitchen, we continued this theme by mixing refined finishes with natural materials, creating a space that is both functional and visually striking. The overall aesthetic achieved a relaxed elegance, offering a cohesive flow between rooms while preserving the casual, laid-back atmosphere that defines California living. This project illustrates how thoughtful material choices and a balance of textures can bring modern and rustic design elements together seamlessly.
