The client first reached out to us to create an outdoor room for a gathering place for their soon to be newly combined larger family. After a 2hr in-home consultation they decided they also would like to design a new kitchen. They wanted to stay with a traditional style but bring it up to date to meet their new larger families needs. The client requested a large island open to the dining area and 3 separate areas for prepping; a veggie prep sink, main sink and coffee station. These new designs created much needed space for family gatherings to enjoying food and conversation all together.
The entire kitchen was reconfigured and made larger by incorporating the poorly used laundry room that was originally next to the kitchen. We added 2 new windows to bring in more natural light, and created an built banquette and table seating with a large island with seating opening to the dining area. The remodel included all new finishes, appliances and fixtures. The backyard was completely redesigned with a new pergola and hardscape patio off the back door leading from the kitchen. It included retractable sunbrella coverings and lighting. A dining area was designed with stone bench seating including a bbq cooking area and living room style seating space. The custom stone walls were referenced from the area’s historical stone walls.
