A serene retreat blending natural textures to create a waves of light.
This project involved the design and addition of Luce Spa at the Lowe’s Hollywood Hotel, developed during my time with DMJM Rottet under the direction of Principal Richard Reviere and Project Architect Kenton Zlab. The scope included a new building on the pool deck, a nail salon, gift store, updated fitness room, and the conversion of six guest rooms into treatment spaces.
Highlights
Guided by a creative brief from design director Kerry Joyce, a dream within a dream, Luce Spa was envisioned as a modern Moroccan hammam. Every element was custom-designed, from hand-finished plaster and split-faced stone walls to mosaic tile floors and glowing cove lighting throughout. A monolithic custom crafted walnut entry desk, nail salon furnishings, and fully bespoke steam and locker rooms contributed to a cohesive, transportive experience. The result is a serene, light-filled retreat layered in texture and detail; offering a moment of stillness within the heart of Hollywood.

A textural palette of warm white plaster, soft beige, soft pale blues. natural neutral stones,
and natural teak, envoking a dreamlike, modern hammam style.
